“From our Dietitian”
Nutrition research leaves us with no doubt that childhood nutrition impacts both childhood development and adulthood health. With 12-14 developmental years spent at school, we can safely say that school lunches and snacks play a significant role in either optimizing or compromising childhood nutrition.
While children need energy for growth, learning and play, this energy needs to be accompanied by nutrients, namely fibre, protein and healthy fats. Limiting energy dense foods, empty of nutrients is the key to successfully meeting childhood nutrient requirements.
The group menu ticks all the boxes for nutritious lunch meals and snacks, providing meals containing fibre, lean protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. With adequate nutrients and ample variety to choose from, daily lunch time nourishment is made very easy for parents.
